Dearest Uncle...

It's been 2 years since the passing of my beloved uncle.
This day is the day when my uncle left the physical world, to a better place, a whole 2 years ago. .

Being my favourite uncle, the fact that i'd lost him is still painfully devastating. Perhaps what makes it more unbearable is the fact that I had a conversation with him 4 hours before he lost his consciousness and then passed away and yet I was not there when he passed away.

It's heart-wrenching to think that I did not show my gratitude to him more often.I thought I could leave all the mushy stuff till the end, when I'm at deathbed, telling him that he had made my life safer, more exciting, comforting and meaningful. It hurts to think that he went on without knowing that I actually do care about him more than he would thought I would be.

So people, do cherish what you have, and let your loved ones know, that you care for them. Do that, before it's too late or you'll be haunted by the ghosts of your own ignorance and inaction, for years to come as how this has haunted me periodically.

I'm sorry, Uncle.I loved, love, and will continue loving you, and may your souls rest in peace.

Girl who lip- sync in the Beijing Olympics.

Remember this cute little girl who sang "Ode to the Motherland" at the opening ceremony for the Beijing Games 2008.
Well, it wasn't her voice that we heard. She was just lip sync-ing the words which had been recorded by this 7 year old girl on the left .

The reason the 7 year old girl was replaced was that her face was deemed "not suitable" for the opening ceremony.Hello? Not suitable?

I was even appalled when I heard this guy Chen Qigang, the general music designer of the opening ceremonies, said that “The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feeling and expression.”

How could you tell a child - Oh I am sorry you have a wonderful voice and we want to use it but you're too ugly to be seen? How heartless could one be. Remember my entry on why pretty .

Well, in another few years time, this 7 year old girl will grow up and be convinced that she is ugly and unworthy of any affection. Remember the girl who lip-synced? What a great impact it would be on her life. She will be marked as "the imposter" for the rest of her life.Even so,the media world has named her as the world class fakes.

This reminds me of the Lingam's famous quote ..
"It looks like me, sounds like me.""But I will not say 100% that it's me."

They did a great job with the Olympics, and it took a lot of work to pull this off, but little things like these are such a turn off.

The annoying thing.

"My current mood"

Some people exist to make others miserable.

Osim spree..

I went shopping to look for a Father's Day gift for my dad.I know it's a bit late but better late than never right? hehe..

At last I found this in OSIM.

Osim uCrown for my dad.Well, my dad has suffered from migraines for more than 30 years and so I guessed this would probably be the best gift I can give to him.

I got myself a toothbrush from Osim too.
Alltogether I spent about Rm700 in Osim. Now I'm regretting for buying this toothbrush coz it is really not cheap.
Have you ever end up regretting buying stuff which you thought was worthy at first sight?
Oh well there goes my savings..

Food for thought Day 6

The quickest way to receive love is to give love.

The fastest way to lose love is too hold it too tightly.

The best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Isn't love amazing?
